April (Friday 3rd): Counting to Ten

Today was the end of a long week, so we were delighted to be given a task by Cousin Georgie, who had been set the task of learning to count to ten in a new language. Wonderfully, Georgie chose Manx, and so the boys set to creating a great instruction film for her.
Here is the preparation stage...

And this is the final thing:

We hope Georgie has good fun learning from it!

The other highlight of the day was making a den, which all three boys were very excited by:

In contrast, Cori was frustrated to still be working at the shower, which has taken her days, & two sealant tubes. Today was finished very close to the end, but aching all over!

Of course, it's not actually up to us to fix the sealant on the shower in this house which we rent, but our landlord is legendary for doing a brock job of things, and always going for the cheapest of products. The sealant he put in a year or two ago is now mouldy and clearly not working, so Cori thought she'd do the job properly, so we won't have to put up with a mouldy and damp house!

The boys were a little tired today, which meant that everyone was a little fraught towards the end of the day. Everything was being interrupted with complaints and tears towards the end of the day, but we powered through exercise, dinner and yoga before going up to bed to read the latest story in our new fairy tales book, about Jonnikin and the Flying Basket, where the brother saves his sister from being eaten by the King of the Wolves by his cleverness - a wonderful tale to close the day with!
